The Company

NaxoFlex AB ’s history and tradition as a high quality manufacturer of coated abrasives started already in 1895. In those days the company name was AB Svenska Naxos, and was located in Baskarp, a small town in the south of Sweden.

During the later part of the sixties, our company moved to Västervik. Here, we have continued to focus our production of coated abrasives while working closely together with other product areas within SlipNaxos AB.
With the start of the new millennium, we merged our 100+year tradition of coated abrasives into a newly formed company named NaxoFlex AB.

NaxoFlex AB allows us to continue our focus and expertise in today’s highly technical, coated abrasive industry. Furthermore, it allows us to expand our focus and commitment to our customers and partners.

In January of 2002, a new chapter of the NaxoFlex AB history began when Nastroflex S.p.A.in Italy became our new owner. This has been a great development, especially since Nastroflex has also been our largest customer and consumer for more than 20 years.

In the beginning we started with very simple sanding paper and emery cloth, the production over the last 100 years has developed into today’s advanced   processing of high quality, state of the art abrasive products for the demanding and very competitive industry of today, and the future.

There are two lines of businesses within NaxoFlex AB. One is for the production of materials, made into big rolls in the Maker.
The other line of business is our conversion department for the production of end-user products such as abrasive belts, sheets, rolls, and discs.
